Frequently Asked Questions

How often should I get my scissors sharpened?

Most professional hairstylists and barbers sharpen their scissors every 3–6 months, depending on use. If you notice your scissors pulling, bending, or snagging hair, it’s time for a sharpening.

Do I need to send my scissors away?

No — that’s the beauty of our service. We offer mobile and in-salon sharpening, so we come directly to you. No posting, no waiting weeks, no downtime.

How long does sharpening take?

Most pairs of scissors can be sharpened in 15–20 minutes. We aim to get you back to work as quickly as possible.

What types of scissors do you sharpen?

We specialise in hairdressing and barber scissors, including thinning and texturising scissors. We also sharpen fabric and craft scissors for seamstresses and crafters.
(Note: we don’t sharpen dog grooming clipper blades at this time.)

Is my equipment safe in your hands?

Absolutely. We were trained by Europe’s leading scissor-sharpening school, and we use professional equipment designed specifically for hairdressing and barbering scissors. Your tools are handled with precision and care.

Do you offer discounts for salons?

Yes. Large salons with multiple pairs of scissors can take advantage of tailored discount packages.
But whether you’re an independent stylist or a multi-chair salon, you’ll always receive the same expert service.

How do I book an appointment?

You can book by phone, email, or through our [Contact Page]. Simply let us know how many scissors you’d like sharpened and your location, and we’ll arrange a convenient time.

What areas do you cover?
